With participation rates in girls and women’s football growing 35% over the last five years, and with no sign of it slowing down anytime soon, we’re excited at FC Twenty 11 to support the growth and development of our female members. Over the years FC Twenty11 have developed a number of Mainland Football Pride players and would like to continue this tradition. To support that ambition, there will be a range of Skill Centres available to girls, then offering girls the option to play in a girls only team or mixed teams across all grades.
The transition from Grade 18 Girls to CWCL can be a tough step-up if not well managed. In 2024, our Grade 18/19 Girls and CWCL players performed their preseason training together, then continued to train alongside each other on a Monday night then trained separately on Thursdays. Our CWCL Team operates alongside our Mens First Team in having player agreements, club kits and equal rights to the premier pitch with lights. FC Twenty 11 are looking forward to growing our female football members more providing more options including a competitive and possibly a social team too.
Pre-Season Training begins Monday 10 February at Avonhead Park from 6.30pm – 8.00pm
