Volunteer coaches and referees are the lifeblood of any football club. The primary goal of all FC Twenty11 coaches and referees are to engage and encourage all players to enjoy the game. Building lifelong friendship, comradery and resilience.

The New Zealand Football Coach Education Pathway has courses available at all levels of the game including Junior, Youth and Senior. Each course provides coaches with age appropriate learning to enhance their players experience and development in the game. Find out more about each course and what it offers by clicking here.
For those parents wanting to get a better understanding of the ‘Law of the Game’, Mainland Football offers a series of Community Based Referee Courses. These are free 3-4 hour course taking a basic view of the ‘Law of the Game’. This course is suitable for those who want to become Community Referees, or just want to gain a better knowledge of the Laws of the Game. Click here for further information.
Coaches wanting to attend specific courses should make contact with Admin@FCTwenty11.co.nz well in advance so details can be discussed, considered and or attendance budgeted and planned for.
Registrations are now done through MYCOMET. The process is the same as you would register for a Winter Football club using your USERNAME and PASSWORD.

Level 1 Referee Course (Full Version)
This is a 10–12 hour course (four, three-hour sessions) where we take an in-depth look at the Laws of the Game (LOTG) and an explanation of how you can start refereeing. The full course covers more content than the online version. This includes a test at the end of the course. This course is aimed more for the people who are likely to take up refereeing.

Level 1 Referee Course (Online Version)
This course has been developed for those that do not have time to attend the longer course and smaller referee centres, but also for the people who are likely to take up refereeing. You can do most of the course at home, in your own time. The date set for the course is the only session you physically attend a session with an instructor. This session will be about 3 hours in duration and includes the last couple of modules (including an outdoor session), discussion on other parts of the course and refereeing in general and a test on the Laws of the Game (LOTG). Ideally you should have completed the online part of the course before the date of the offline part for which you registered.

This course is suitable for those who want to become Community Referees, or just want to gain a better knowledge of the Laws of the Game. Level One Futsal Referee Course
Mainland Football is getting in behind Futsal and our Futsal FIFA referee, Chris Sinclair is employed as the Futsal Development Manager (including referees), to promote and develop this growing part of the beautiful game. The Futsal Referee Courses are run in a few hours (also with some online content to complete). Futsal has its own refereeing pathway, including FIFA Futsal status, as Chris had shown.
The course has an online learning platform with the content to be finished before attending a 2-3 hour session.
