FC Twenty11 has a great reputation for developing young football players. With the introduction of the Canterbury United Development League (CUDL), clubs are now required to become licensed in order to enter a team in the YPL league/competition. The requirements are extensive; including coaches with certain qualification, facilities and participation in certain Talent centres. This has created two pathways; Youth and Canterbury United Development League . If you are interested in your teenager playing YPL, please come along to the Information evening (listed below). For players who do not want to play CUDL, please find below information regarding the 2021 Winter Season:
There is an option of a Training Day and or Game Day.
Dates: Tuesday (Training), Thursday (Game)
Time: 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Venue: Avonhead Park
Cost: $100 (both sessions)
Uniform: FC apparel is optional

We welcome all Youth members to give these trials a go. It’s a great experience. If unsuccessful in being placed in a CUDL team, players will then be allocated to Youth grade teams.

Grade 13/14/15/17 Trial Dates & Times:
9th to 12th February – TBC – Avonhead Park
15th to 19th February – TBC – Avonhead Park
Trial process: All trial participants must register their attendance on the night and receive a number to participate in the trials. This number will be used to help identify the teenagers and allocating them to a team. This is especially important as the trials will be lead by Tsetso and include a number of our Coaches who will not know all the teenagers by name. Can all players please arrive 20-30 minutes prior to ensure we can get started on time.
Team Announcements: All teams (including CUDL teams) will be announced on the 21st February. Those selected for the CUDL team will commence with their first training session commencing within the week due to a slightly earlier season start. All other teams will commence at the start of the winter season.
