Fit4Football Education Evening

Fit4Football is an injury prevention and performance enhancing programme developed by NZ Football, in partnership with ACC, that aims to help our players stay injury free and play to the best of their ability. FC Twenty11 have asked a representative from each team attends the relevant course.  A crucial night for injury prevention and keeping it safe on the pitch!

Course Descriptions

11+ Kids Course:
Coaches will walk away with a whole new Injury Prevention Warm Up program resource tailored for 4-12-year-old footballers. This contains a series of different exercises designed to help kids develop their fundamental movement patterns while additionally being proven to reduce children’s injuries in football by 38-50% and also improve their physical performance. Coaches will understand the background to the program, the physical characteristics of our junior footballers and most importantly have a series of new games for which to use with their team this season. 11+Youth/Adults Course:
The 11+ is a complete warm-up programme to reduce injuries among male and female football players aged 14 years and older and enhance their performance by making them fitter, faster and stronger. The programme was developed by an international group of experts, and its effectiveness has been proven in several scientific studies. Teams that performed the 11+ at least twice a week had 30-50% fewer injured players. The programme should be performed, as a standard warm-up, at the start of each training session at least twice a week, and it takes around 20 minutes to complete. It should also be completed prior to matches however only utilising the running exercises so will take less time. The programme has been rolled out in other major footballing countries around the world including Germany, Brazil, Spain and Japan. Registration:
To register you can simply do so through your MyComet ID.
  1. Once logged in, select Register from the left hand menu.
  2. In the Club / Fed field, input Fit4Football and select the relevant region:
    a. Mainland | FC Twenty 11: F4F 11+ Kids.
    b. Mainland | FC Twenty 11: F4F 11+ Youth/Adults
  3. Select the relevant workshop.  (You can use the magnifying glass to view more details about the workshop).
  4. Select the “+” icon next to the relevant workshop.
  5. Select Proceed to Checkout.
