Junior Development Programme

Junior Development Programme

For FC Twenty 11 players aged 9 to 12
(based on their year of birth)

For 2025 this will be children born from 2013 to 2016

Our club vision has always been to provide opportunities for players, coaches, and club members to succeed in gaining football knowledge and skills, inspiring them to participate in and enjoy the world game. The programme provides for those who are seeking extra challenges.  In 2025, we will be further enhancing this by developing and progressing our young players to advance their skills, playing ability, and confidence, through the adoption of a development pathway. The aim of this pathway is to nurture the current abilities of our players and give them the opportunity to be part of a long-term programme focusing on our club values and philosophies, education, and of course football training.

Taught at an age-appropriate level (from 9th Grade), this programme will unlock a player’s higher potential as they advance through the grades towards Youth Football selection. This programme is dedicated to keeping our players involved and enthusiastic. Most importantly we will be implementing good basic habits from a young age. These will be addressed by training twice weekly (with a game day on Saturday) with a dedicated Coach (delivered by our Director of Football, Ricardo Felitti, OFC “B” licensed coach).

For those players (9th – 12th Grade) who wish to continue playing for FUN with their friends, we will continue the current club pathway with opportunities for them to train with development players.  Click here for further information on our Junior Club Programmehttps://fctwenty11.co.nz/juniors/

For those players born in 2012 or earlier, please refer to our Youth Development Programme that includes our Canterbury Development League information – https://fctwenty11.co.nz/youth-development-programme/
