It is a fast paced, easy to play social form.  Futsal is a fun safe sport as it doesn’t allow tackling. Futsal teaches ball control and is a fast game with continuous play that kids will find lots of fun to play!

Futsal is the only form of ‘indoor football’ or ‘five-a-side’ that is officially approved by FIFA and New Zealand Football. The name “Futsal” comes from the merging of the Spanish/Portuguese words for football (Futbol or Futebol) and the French or Spanish word for “Indoor” (Salon or Sala).

The sport of futsal is suitable for boys and girls from 8 years and older. Young children are able to develop early motor skills combined with important social skills in a fun and safe environment. Children are able to participate in modified versions of the sport that cater for the age and skill level of the child.
