Football Development Officers required

FC Twenty11 are looking for Football Development Officers (FDOs) to help achieve their football objectives for 2024 and beyond.  These are paid roles; either a few hours per week or multiple hours per week depending on your football qualifications and experience.   

Supported by the Director of Football, the role of the FDO includes guiding footballers and teaching them the correct way to play football in an enjoyable environment. The FDO will work with children of all ages and other coaches.  The ideal candidate will live the FC values in line with the club’s purpose to ensure all players they work with enjoy their experience, continuously improve their football skills, and work together in a collaborative, respectful environment.

 

The role of FDO includes the following responsibilities as required throughout the year:

– delivering FC school football programmes

– lead the delivery of FCs football development programmes and sessions from First Kicks (U6) through to Youth football (U13-19s)

– coaching or assisting to coach teams as required during the winter season

– organise and deliver holiday programmes

– assist the Director of Football with off field requirements such as gear management

 

In general, the suitable candidate for this position will have:

– interest in and enthusiasm for football

– enjoy working with and developing young people

– good communication skills; spoken and written

– the ability to inspire confidence and motivate performance

– the ability to analyse and solve problems

– perseverance and patience

– good organisational skills

– a sensitive and supportive approach

– excellent at working within a team environment
