More ladies are playing football now than there have ever been before. There are two options for those wanting to play socially:
– Social Sunday Women’s Football league is aimed at players aged 18 years or older who do not wish to play competitive football.
– Canterbury Womens Champsion League Division 2 which is aimed at those that want a good run around but still have some fun.
Each team will need to have a team manager to coordinate their squad. The format is 11v11 on a senior pitch under Mainland Competition rules. Promotion Relegation with other divisions. Results are kept on a league table available on the Mainland Football Website. Shirts are supplied. Players supply their own red shorts and red socks which can be purchased from our apparel shop. Seniors play in wet conditions, usually, only ground conditions cause cancellations. Cancellations will be listed on the club website and Facebook page.
If you have never played football before or are returning to the game, this is the perfect start. We welcome you to register your interest with our Women’s Captain, Melissa Green.
As we near the start of the Pre-Season Training, we would like to provide a relax and social Pre-Season Fitness session. Each week various equipment will be placed by the kiosk for ladies to use.
