New Zealand Football Club Licence

We are super excited to announce that FC Twenty11 has received their Club Licence.

On the 22nd February 2018, New Zealand Football (NZF) officially endorsed a Club Licensing Project with the overall aim “to raise the level of club football throughout New Zealand”.  As a result FC Twenty11, along with all the other Mainland Football associated clubs, now have to satisfy a series of criteria in order for their Youth (and MPL/CCL) members to be eligible for the Youth Premier Leagues.

To achieve a Club Licence requires specific facilities, specific youth talent centres and coaches with certain qualifications to coach those YPL teams (amongst other things).  Colin Williamson’s appointment as the Football Academy Director has enabled FC Twenty11 to push ahead with our Club Licence but also enables us to run coaching programmes in-house.  Over time, this will provide our First-Kick, Fun Football, Junior and Youth coaches the ability to become NZF qualified and continue to coach their children either in the recreational/social space or the YPL.

For more information, please feel free to review the documents made available on the Mainland Football website.
